I have been doing business with trick-tools for 15+ years. Here in northern California in the small town I'm in we don't have a many places where I can get quality tools from. Trick-tools are only a phone call away for me and I get exactly what I needed from them every time. I get excellent customer service and high quality tooling. It's nice to talk to actual people who know what they are talking about when I call with questions. The staff is quick to get my items shipped to me in a timely manner. I can see myself doing business with them for another 15+ years. I tell all my friends to check them out and if your reading this I would recommend you give them a try.

These guys are simply great. Through all my communications with them I never felt rushed or treated anything but decent. They were out of stock on an item I ordered and it shipped about 2 weeks later just like they said it would. Got it in 3 days from UPS. They dont sell junk and they even use quality package carriers like UPS instead of USPS. They sent me an envelope and it was even from UPS, so that should tell you right there about their values. I'll keep going back to the guys at Trick Tools simply because they have great quality tools and I can trust them, and you should too.

Racing Anxiety

Take your business somewhere else!! I never leave bad reviews, but our experience here was so bad, I felt that it needed to be shared. I ordered a pipe bender the middle of March and it did not show up until the second week of July. We received no updates from Trick Tools besides an order confirmation. It said that the pipe bender ships out 2 weeks after being ordered and I would receive it in a month. It did not show up when I was told it would so I called them. i was given no information and a lot of vague run around answers. I then had to start calling them twice a week, hoping something would happen. The people I spoke to on the phone were rude and condescending. They then started blaming the company that manufactured a part on the pipe bender.

I was given their number and then started calling both companies every week. I asked Trick Tools if any kind of reimbursement, upgrade, etc would be offered and they said absolutely not, it was not their fault. I was at the end of my patience listening to their lies after a couple months of calling and even threatened to call BBB on them and they could have cared less. The manufacturing company were the only ones that were willing to help me.

I then found out that Trick Tools had not submitted my order until 6 weeks after I placed it, but took the money out of my account the day after I ordered it. The manufacturing company told Trick Tools they needed to upgrade my shipping, and they only gave the company half saying that they had a "disgruntled customer" and so could not give them all the money. I have never heard a word from Trick Tools even though they told the manufacturing company they were working with me. They told me each time I called them that I would have it the next week. I heard that for over 2 months.

They are very shady and would not let me talk to a manager or any higher ups. Go somewhere else!! Save yourself a lot of time, money, and grief!

Trick Tools has a level of customer service that is getting extremely hard to find. They take the time to thoroughly explain their products so that you can make an informed buying decision. I never felt like I was being oversold on anything. If they don't immediately have an answer they get it for you. The quality of their products is outstanding.

I've made orders big and small from Trick-Tools over the years for two simple reasons.
Quality and Selection. They do not sell junk.
Their tools and equipment start at quality hobbyist level up to professional level - and their selection is huge.
Bead roller, punch tooling, tubing bender and notcher... just a few of the items I have purchased from them.
I've always had great communication with them when trying to figure out exactly what I need - specially for my oddball punches.
Always my go-to site for fabrication equipment!

I have placed a few orders with Trick Tools and have had a good experience. The people I dealt with were very helpful. 4 stars because one of the orders took much longer to arrive than expected and I had to call and check on it a couple of times.

I ordered some band saw items from them. They had the parts listed on their website with no description. I called to get a description over the phone. They were clueless about their own parts they were selling, but assured me the parts would suit my needs perfectly. Low and behold, I get the parts and they don't work for what I'm trying to do at all. I finally found the actual manufacturer's phone number and called them. They even said the parts should have never been sold to me for the type of work I was trying to do. I called Van Sant and asked for a refund. I was willing to pay shipping - the parts weren't even used. They said there'd be a restocking fee. I said that's fine. Then they hee-hawed around a bit and said sorry, we can't take a refund. I ended up selling the parts on ebay, and after having them listed for over a YEAR, got less than half what I paid. Sounds like they had some old dusty inventory of a junk product that they were happy to get rid of, and the easy answer to my return request was NO! Too bad for Van Sant and Trick Tools because I could have been a life-long customer. I won't spend another penny there, now.

Ordered some sanding belts and the day after they’re delivered I start getting these weird, rude messages from “van sant group” saying I owe them money. I assume it’s a phishing attempt and ignore it but then I keep getting multiple emails and voicemails a day so I respond and say I don’t know who they are and to leave me alone. I then got a very rude response from “sue” saying she’s actually from trick tools and that due to a website glitch they didn’t actually receive the payment I made at the time of purchase. I made the payment and didn’t receive so much as a “thanks” and at no time did I get so much as a “sorry for making you do extra work for our screw up”.

With the way they acted over this issue I can’t even imagine what they’d be like to deal with on major issues.
